In thinking further on my “soap venture” I have decided to go with 5 scents/formulas only targeting 4 areas – acne, dry/winter skin, invigorating and relaxing (5 if I can think of a fifth). These will all have corresponding hand/body lotions, bath salts, lip and or fragrance balms. I’m also thinking of “bath tea” which in and of itself is quite a novel idea. I really want to experiment with an acne formula for my daughter who has had a problem with acne since she hit puberty, a dry skin formula causing itchy winter patches for my mom and myself, a relaxing formula for myself (on nights like these) and an invigorating formula for the mornings when I must get out of bed after nights like these. I am sure I am not the only one who is plagued by these circumstances. I will not infringe upon scents made by others because frankly I can buy from them. These will be specialty soaps for particular circumstances with most of the emphasis going to the entire sets.

I am excited about it and plan to get started within the next couple of weeks.

Now I am making a “cinnamon swirl” felted cloche out of a beautiful 100% Peruvian wool. I am most excited to see how it turns out. It is my own original pattern, so it may end up Hobbit-sized, but still it will be quiet lovely I think. Bilbo Baggins may have a lovely cloche!

I don’t know why I think of food whenever I make a hat. It’s beginning to be quite perplexing. I don’t even overly like sweets yet it’s been chocolate, Oreos, cinnamon swirl… Honestly though, you’ll look at this hat and think cinnamon swirl struesel bread. Or maybe you won’t and just think I’m a moron. Either way… I do really like cinnamon swirl struesel bread but does one want to wear it on their head? These are the thoughts that haunt me at 4am.
